Golf inspires us to try things we never thought we could do.


Whether your a regular golfer or someone whose interested in playing the game but have never touch a golf club, the Women's Working Luncheon & Golf Clinic is the event for you. Learn all basics or practice up on your drive so your ready to go out with your golf buddies. In the friendliest atmosphere, you don't have to be embarrassed when you have a horrible drive. Be coached by our golf professional, Joe Leonard, in a fun and exciting atmosphere. We will cover everything from the basics to the tricks of the trade. Feel free to come out even if you don’t have clubs. Can't forget that a delicious lunch buffet will be served!

The Heart of Wisconsin Committee Leadership program completed its fourth session on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at the Wood Country Court House facilitated by Jason Gruenenberg. This day was filled with community leaders from various areas within the local government. They provided information that helped participants gain a better understanding of local government and its involvement. The morning included a thorough tour of the Wood County jail observing some of the day-to-day operations, a visit to the Circuit Court with Judge Todd Wolfe, and a panel discussion with Patrick Testin, 24th District Senator, Arne Systrom, Town of Grand Rapids Chairman and Kenneth Curry, Wood County Board Supervisor District 11. The afternoon continued with a visit from the County Clerk, Human Services, Sherriff’s Department, Highway Commissioner, and the County Board Chair.
