The food at Jennings & Company is terrific. Quite a few people have recommended that I go to Jennings and now I know why. Their food is fantastic! They buy their products locally and everything is made fresh to order. The appetizers are excellent. The Wisconsin Cheese Curds are appealing but the Breaded Mozzarella Sticks are simply delightful. Love pretzels? Love soft pretzels? Then their Soft Pretzel Bread Sticks should be the first thing you order. The cheese sauce that comes with it is out of this world. One bite will awaken your taste buds. I also highly recommend you try their Steamed Pork Dumplings and Steamed Mussels. For the veggie lovers out there, Jennings has scrumptious salads. Savor the flavor of the Mediterranean Salad. The Blacken Chicken Caesar Salad is crafted to perfection, not to mention every Wisconsinite must try their Wisconsin Berry Salad.  



Looking to take your dad out for lunch? Take him over to Jennings to get the Dad’s Italian Beef Sandwich. You won’t leave hungry after eating the Pig in a Pretzel Sandwich (smoked ham and Swiss on a pretzel bun served with beer mustard). Besides their sandwiches, their juicy burgers are absolutely gratifying. The All American Burger is just beautiful. It’s topped with a small American flag on a toothpick and the taste is absolutely mouth watering! The Mushroom Swiss Burger is a classic and the Southwest Black Bean Burger is extremely appetizing, not to mention it is a veggie burger that Jennings makes by scratch. Cure a hangover with their “Hangover” Burger.  Jennings & Company is tremendous! It’s a great place to hang out with your favorite people and grab an outstanding meal!

The Heart of Wisconsin Committee Leadership program completed its fourth session on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at the Wood Country Court House facilitated by Jason Gruenenberg. This day was filled with community leaders from various areas within the local government. They provided information that helped participants gain a better understanding of local government and its involvement. The morning included a thorough tour of the Wood County jail observing some of the day-to-day operations, a visit to the Circuit Court with Judge Todd Wolfe, and a panel discussion with Patrick Testin, 24th District Senator, Arne Systrom, Town of Grand Rapids Chairman and Kenneth Curry, Wood County Board Supervisor District 11. The afternoon continued with a visit from the County Clerk, Human Services, Sherriff’s Department, Highway Commissioner, and the County Board Chair.
