Cranberry Blossom Festival 2016



Celebrate with us during the 2016 Cranberry Blossom Festival June 16-19, 2016 in the heart of cranberry country, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The Wisconsin Rapids Area is the largest inland-producing cranberry region in the world. Producing nearly 30% of the world’s cranberries. The unique agricultural heritage makes Blossom Season a special time in our area and gives us one more reason to celebrate! The festival is packed with berry fun events including, a carnival, live music, arts and crafts, and of course culinary treats featuring Wisconsin’s #1 fruit crop, the cranberry!

June 16th, 2016

Art Before Dark: 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Central Wisconsin Cultural Center, 240 Johnson Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI United States
Enjoy the Central Wisconsin Cultural Centers latest exhibit and place your vote for the artwork for the 2017 Cranberry Blossom Festival. At 5:30 p.m. join us for the presentation, “Cranberries – A recipe for community identity” by this year’s Cranberry Blossom Festival artist Stephen Kipfer.

3rd Annual Chalk It Up 5:30 pm – 8:30pm
Downtown Wisconsin Rapids (West Grand Ave between 2nd and 3rd Street)
Hosted by the Grand Ave Artists This year’s theme is to be announced at a later date. PLEASE check the Facebook event page for updates This fun and interactive event is open to artists of all ages and abilities. Participants will be assigned a space in which to create their work of art.

Join us for the 11th Annual Cinema Under the Stars event in Downtown Wisconsin Rapids. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and of course that includes popcorn! Admission is FREE, bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a family classic under the stars. The movie will begin at dusk.

SWC YMCA Healthy Kids Day 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Healthy Kids Day is designed to encourage kids to get up, get out and grow during the summer months! This FREE family event will expose kids to activities that to keep their bodies and minds active.

Cranberry Blossom Quilt Show 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Witter Field Warming House (Corner of 8th Street South and Chestnut Street)
Hosted by the Material Girls Quilt Club On display will be many quilted creations, as well as club members, “Block Challenge” entries, “Mystery” and “Block of the Month” quilts. Viewers are asked to vote for their favorites. Admission is FREE. Proceeds from a free-will offering, “Share the Wealth” raffle, and several basket raffles will help fund activities of the club, including the Palliative Care Quilts for Aspirus Riverview Hospital, some of which will also be on display

6th Annual “Cruise-In” Car Show 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 101 “Cruise-In” Car Show with dash plaques awarded to all participants! No entry fee. There will be food and other vendors available on the grounds.

Hosted by the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce FREE outdoor event, rain or shine. Family friendly (no pets please). Featuring woodcrafts, framed art, jewelry, candles, pottery and many cranberry themed products. There’s something for all ages at the Arts, Crafts and Cranberries Fair!

Kids Fishing Contest 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
East River Bank (2nd Street South – Maple Street)
Sponsored by the Wisconsin Rapids Professional Police Association Kids 14 and under are invited to fish with local law enforcement. Prizes will be awarded in various categories and the first 50 kids will receive a door prize.

Cranberry Blossom Festival Parade 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Downtown Wisconsin Rapids
Hosted by the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Participants and spectators will gather downtown for a parade along East Grand Avenue from 11th Street over the Grand Avenue Bridge and continuing along West Grand Avenue to the JCPenney parking lot at the Rapids Mall. This year’s parade will feature members of the University of Wisconsin Marching Band.

Central Wisconsin’s Got Talent makes a return to the area this summer! Showcase your talent or just come to enjoy the show. Throughout the whole weekend of Cranberry Blossom Festival adults, families and kids of all ages can enjoy carnival rides, games and food at the Cranberry Blossom Carnival! Ticket prices are $1.25 or 10 for $10. Wristband specials available: Friday 4:00 to 9:00 pm – $20 per person, Saturday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm – $15 per person/5:00 pm to 9:00 pm – $15 per person, Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm – $20 per person.
