Expand student’s minds into the manufacturing field. Give high school sophomores the opportunity to learn about manufacturing and the dynamic job opportunities that are right here in Central Wisconsin. Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce's Heavy Metal Bus Tour, was created to pique students' interests in manufacturing-related jobs by linking them with local employers. As the baby boomers retire, we are going to have more jobs in this community than we have people to fill them, so we are going to need word-of-mouth from students, parents and anyone who cares about the community, to develop the workforce we need for these positions. There is a bright future for students in manufacturing. It's not dumb, dark, dirty or dangerous. It's high tech, it's growing, and it offers an excellent career path. Join the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce as we empower our students and guide them to great career path.
