Walking into Sportsmen’s Pub & Grille you instantly feel welcomed. With a jukebox to play all your favorite tunes, Sportsmen’s is a great place to hang out with your best buds and grab a tasty burger. Speaking of which, their burgers are crazy good. The World Series Burger, I tried early this week was hands down the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Just one bite into their burgers will have your taste buds falling in love. The Daily Tribune voted them best burger in town! 


Besides their mouth-watering burgers, they have scrumptious sandwiches. Get your Cheesehead Favorite, grilled cheese on Texas toast or dive right into the 18th Hole and get a great deep-fried chicken breast topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo. How about that 7th Inning Stretch? Sounds great with a Chicago style hot dog with all the trimmings. Sportsmen’s also has great appetizers! They have fantastic deep-fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, nachos & cheese jalapenos, and much more. 



Warm your heart with one of their marvelous homemade soups. The Sportsmen’s Chili Soup is a must try. Stop by on Thursday and Friday to get specialty soups! Sportsmen’s Pub & Grille is an outstanding place. They have more to offer then burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and soups but you have to stop into Sportsmen’s Pub & Grille yourself to discover all the flavorful foods they have to offer.

The Heart of Wisconsin Committee Leadership program completed its fourth session on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at the Wood Country Court House facilitated by Jason Gruenenberg. This day was filled with community leaders from various areas within the local government. They provided information that helped participants gain a better understanding of local government and its involvement. The morning included a thorough tour of the Wood County jail observing some of the day-to-day operations, a visit to the Circuit Court with Judge Todd Wolfe, and a panel discussion with Patrick Testin, 24th District Senator, Arne Systrom, Town of Grand Rapids Chairman and Kenneth Curry, Wood County Board Supervisor District 11. The afternoon continued with a visit from the County Clerk, Human Services, Sherriff’s Department, Highway Commissioner, and the County Board Chair.
